3 Tips to Increase Your Leads:
A lot of the businesses Nat and I have spoken with recently have similar needs. How do we get more leads? How do we convert more of these leads into paying customers? How do we get our customers to pay for our ‘premium’ offerings? For this article, we’ll focus on some key pointers for increasing leads.
We hear a lot of customers say, “I want more leads” or “we already have lots of leads, but conversion is the issue”. The obstacle here and the question you need to ask yourself is: are you getting the right type of leads into your funnel? It’s great having lots of leads, but if they’re not your target buying persona, it’s a waste of everyone’s time.
So, before looking at how you increase your leads, take some time to understand your target persona. Give them a name, a demographic. Map out their pain points, their desires, their wants and needs; where they consume (media, information, advice). Once you have this, the next step is looking at how you target this persona to receive HIGH-QUALITY leads.
1. Leverage Targeted Campaigns
To attract the right leads, your social media & marketing campaigns need to be precisely targeted. Start by identifying where your ideal persona/customers spend their time. For example, if your target audience consists of professionals and B2B clients, LinkedIn could be your go-to platform. On the other hand, if you’re aiming at a younger, visually-oriented demographic, Instagram might be more effective. For more direct and personalised communication, consider email marketing.
As discussed earlier, the key here is to use the platform that aligns best with your target buyer’s preferences and behaviours; where do they consume? Then, you tailor your messaging to resonate with them, and you’ll likely see a higher engagement rate and more qualified leads.
2. Engage Through Events
Events offer a great opportunity to connect with potential leads in a meaningful way. Attend industry-specific networking events to meet potential clients and partners face-to-face. Additionally, consider hosting your own webinars or virtual events. These can be highly effective when promoted through your targeted campaigns (as mentioned in Tip 1). Webinars allow you to showcase your expertise and provide value to your audience, which can naturally lead to increased interest and engagement.
3. Optimise Your Online Presence for Conversions
Your website and social media profiles should be set-up and optimised to convert visitors into leads. Ensure that you have clear and compelling call-to-actions (CTAs) on all your digital platforms. Whether it’s encouraging visitors to contact you for an initial call, fill out a lead form, or interact with an AI chatbot, make sure the process is straightforward and user-friendly.
An optimised online presence not only attracts more leads but also makes it easier for potential clients to take the next step in their ‘customer’ journey with you. Regularly review and update your CTAs to ensure they align with your current marketing goals and resonate with your audience.
